What is CrushOn.AI?
CrushOn.AI is a character chat site where you talk to AI personas made by other users, or build your own. It’s run by Techiepie Ltd, a company with addresses in Cyprus and the US, and it’s for adults only: you have to be 18 or over.
Its selling point is that it doesn’t filter adult roleplay the way mainstream chatbots do. Characters are tagged, and an “Unfiltered” switch in your settings controls whether you see the adult ones.
How CrushOn.AI works
Browse the library or the rankings, pick a character and start chatting, or write your own character card with a personality and backstory. Many characters come with sets of pictures that pop up during the chat when the conversation triggers them, rather than a free-form image generator.
Memory depends on your plan. The free plan uses smaller-memory models, while paid plans get bigger ones and more frequent automatic summaries of the story so far. Every plan includes AI voice replies and at least one custom voice.
Free plan, paid plans and credits
The free plan gives you 100 message credits a month plus unlimited use of the basic free models. Free chat history is deleted after seven days of inactivity, and you can only run one chat per character.
Paid plans run from Standard at $4.90 a month (billed yearly) up to $150 a month for the top tier, with more credits, longer replies and bigger memory as you go up. Stronger “Pro” models use credits on every plan, and you can buy extra credit packs. Plans renew until you cancel, and for web payments the current billing period isn’t refundable.
Is CrushOn.AI safe and private?
Mozilla’s Privacy Not Included team gave CrushOn.AI its warning label in 2024, citing the sensitive data it can collect and its lack of security assurances. Its own privacy policy says it may use chats to train AI models, keeps data for as long as it considers necessary, and handles account closure by email.
Like other open character platforms, it relies on users to make the bots. A 2025 Graphika study of five such sites, CrushOn.AI among them, found thousands of harmful user-made bots getting past moderation. Keep anything that identifies you out of your chats.

CrushOn.AI is fine for fantasy roleplay, but keep it separate from your real life:
