Fansly: like OnlyFans with a search bar, easier to find someone new.

What is Fansly?

Fansly is the best-known alternative to OnlyFans. It appeared in late 2020, run by Select Media LLC in the US, and took off in August 2021 when OnlyFans briefly said it would ban explicit content: thousands of creators applied within hours.

Today plenty of creators run a Fansly page next to their OnlyFans. Its rules are open to adult content and niche interests, and it’s built more like a social feed than a list of paywalls.

How Fansly works for fans

You can follow creators for free and see what they post for followers, or subscribe for more. Creators can set up several tiers at different prices, and sell pay-per-view posts and messages on top.

The big difference is discovery. Fansly has a For You feed and searchable hashtags and profile tags, so you can find new creators inside the site instead of chasing links on social media.

What Fansly costs

Following is free. Subscriptions, PPV posts, paid messages and tips are all priced by each creator, so costs vary a lot.

Treat every subscription as recurring until you’ve checked the renewal setting. Look at how the charge will appear on your statement before you pay, and use a separate or virtual card if privacy matters.

For creators, and the red flags

Creators keep 80%, the same cut as OnlyFans. The difference is that the For You feed can bring you fans you didn’t bring yourself, which is the main reason creators add Fansly.

The flip side: Fansly is privately held and has never said much about its owners. Chat agencies work here just as they do on OnlyFans, so treat flirty DMs on big accounts as sales, not conversation.
