Nutaku vs the alternatives
The full Nutaku review
What is Nutaku?
Nutaku is a Canadian adult gaming platform based in Montreal. It launched in 2015 and is owned by Aylo, the company behind Pornhub. Its catalogue runs to hundreds of games, most of them anime-style and many licensed from Japanese studios.
It started with browser card battlers and has grown into a mix of browser games, PC downloads and Android games. There’s also an LGBTQ+ section, added in 2018.
How Nutaku works
You confirm you’re 18, make one free account and use it for every game. Browser games run on the site itself. Others you download for Windows, or install on Android through Nutaku’s own app store, because Google Play doesn’t carry them.
Everything is paid for with Gold, Nutaku’s site currency. You top it up with a card or a local payment method, depending on your country, then spend it inside games or on paid titles.
What’s free on Nutaku?
Most games are free to play, and new accounts get a small Gold bonus. The catch is that many free titles are gacha games: you pull for characters and scenes with premium currency, and progress slows down if you don’t pay.
There’s also Gold Recharge, a subscription that adds Gold to your account every 30 days, plus badges, free Gold codes and monthly gifts. It keeps renewing until you cancel. Paid downloadable games are one-off purchases.
Is Nutaku safe and legit?
Yes. It’s a long-running, mainstream adult platform with tens of millions of registered users, and its games are licensed adult versions, not pirated copies.
The real risk is your wallet. Gacha spending adds up fast, and the games are designed to keep nudging you toward the shop. If you’d rather pay once and own a game, look at MangaGamer or Kagura Games.
Is Nutaku safe?
Nutaku is legit, but free-to-play games are built to make you spend:
- Set a monthly budget before you buy Gold
- Cancel Gold Recharge if you stop playing
- Install Android games only through Nutaku
- Use a separate email for your account

ViceHunt’s verdict
Nutaku is the easiest way into adult games: one free account, hundreds of titles and no download needed for many of them. Just remember that most free games make their money from players who spend heavily.
For more Japanese games with 18+ versions, try Johren. For another free browser game, try Hentai Heroes. Prefer to buy a game outright? Try MangaGamer or Kagura Games.
Nutaku FAQ

Yes, signing up is free and most games are free to play. Many of them sell premium items for Gold, and there are paid downloadable games too.
Is Nutaku safe?
It’s a long-running platform owned by Aylo, with licensed games. The main risk is overspending on gacha games, so set a budget.

Gold is Nutaku’s site currency. You buy it with real money and spend it in games or on paid titles. The optional Gold Recharge subscription adds Gold every 30 days until you cancel.
