What is 3DXChat?
3DXChat is a multiplayer 3D virtual world for adults, run by 3DXChat Inc. and online since the early 2010s. You create an avatar, explore clubs, villas and beaches, and meet, chat, date and roleplay with other players.
It’s a social space more than a game, and most of what happens is adult encounters between players who want the same thing. The community builds a lot of it too: the World Editor lets members make their own locations and host parties.
How 3DXChat works
You subscribe, download the client and log in. The official requirements are Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 4 GB of RAM and a DirectX 11 graphics card. No Mac version is listed, and netbooks and old laptops aren’t supported.
There’s VR support for the Oculus Rift CV1 and a Lovense partnership for connected toys. XGold, the in-game currency, pays for extras such as changing your name. The game is still updated: version 3.4 arrived in October 2026.
How much does 3DXChat cost?
There’s no free version or free trial. Access is by monthly, six-monthly or yearly subscription, and the official site doesn’t show prices on its public pages.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You cancel from a separate Customer’s Control Panel, which uses a different login from the game. PayPal isn’t accepted, and at the time of writing (October 2026) the join page says card payments are being updated and offers crypto instead.
Is 3DXChat worth it?
For what it is, it’s the most established option: the graphics are good for the genre, the community is active and updates still arrive. The downsides are a paywall before you can try anything, a Windows-only client and VR support built around a headset that’s long discontinued.
Like any social space, how much you enjoy it depends on who’s online. If you’d rather play solo, SinVR has a free version and supports newer PC headsets.
