What is Candy.ai?
Candy.ai is an AI girlfriend site run by EverAI Limited, a company registered in Malta. You chat with ready-made AI girlfriends, boyfriends and anime characters, or build your own, and they can send you pictures, voice messages and short videos.
It’s strictly 18+ and allows uncensored roleplay within its community guidelines. There’s no app to download: it runs in your browser on desktop or phone, and you can add it to your home screen.
How Candy.ai works
Pick one of the existing characters or use the builder to set your companion’s looks, personality, voice and hobbies. Chats adapt to your tone, and the site says your companion remembers the details you share, though like every app in this category, long conversations can drift or repeat themselves.
Ask for a picture and Candy.ai generates one of your companion in the outfit, setting and pose you describe. You can also get voice replies and short AI-generated videos. All of that runs on tokens, and more detailed requests cost more.
Free vs Premium and tokens
The free version is a taster: the terms cap free users at five messages. To do anything more you need Premium, sold monthly, quarterly or yearly, with deep discounts on longer plans. Premium generally includes 100 tokens a month, spent on images, voice and video, and you can buy more any time.
Read the fine print before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in Settings, unused tokens expire when your subscription ends, and refunds are only possible within 24 hours of paying, by card, and if you’ve used 20 tokens or fewer. EU and UK users get 14 days to withdraw from a first purchase.
Is Candy.ai private and safe?
Candy.ai’s privacy notice says your chats may be de-identified and used to train its AI, which can involve human review, and that message content is passed to third-party AI model providers. Account data is kept for up to three years after your last activity, and there’s no delete button: you email the privacy team to have your data erased.
In January 2025, an investigation by Bellingcat and STRG_F found a Candy.ai link on MrDeepFakes, a notorious deepfake porn site. EverAI blamed its affiliate programme, said it doesn’t condone deepfakes, and the link was removed after reporters asked about it.
Is Candy.ai safe?
Candy.ai is a real company with clear terms, but treat it like any AI girlfriend app:
