CAM4: amateurs from everywhere, a leak in its past.

What is CAM4?

CAM4 launched in France in 2007, which makes it one of the older free cam sites. It’s mostly amateurs: women, men, couples and trans broadcasters from all over the world.

The site’s footer names Tropistream Corporation NV as the company behind it, while reports in 2020 named Granity Entertainment as its parent. Either way, it’s a big, established site, not a fly-by-night one.

How CAM4 works

Public shows are free to watch, and a free account lets you chat. Viewers tip with tokens, and many rooms run tip goals.

Models can also run private shows and group shows. Spy mode lets you watch someone else’s private show without joining the chat, and some broadcasters use Live Touch, which links an interactive toy to tips.

What CAM4 costs

Watching is free. Tokens pay for tips and shows, and token prices depend on the package and payment method you choose, with a bonus on your first purchase.

Gold CAM4 is a monthly membership with extras such as ad-free viewing and private tipping. It renews automatically, so cancel before the next billing date if you only want one month. Reviewers report that charges show under a company name rather than CAM4.

The 2020 data leak

In 2020 security researchers found a CAM4 database left open online without a password. It held around 11 billion records, including about 11 million email addresses, names, IP addresses, chat logs and some payment details, and it was taken offline after it was reported.

It isn’t known whether anyone copied the data first, so use a separate email and a unique password. On the plus side, CAM4 was one of the sites that committed to the UK’s new age checks in 2025.
